About

Henry is a Clinical Psychologist with 8 years of University study and training. Following undergraduate studies in Psychology, Henry completed a Master of Clinical Psychology at The University of Western Australia (UWA). He also completed a PhD research project with UWA and the University of Amsterdam (UvA) on the relationship between emotions and alcohol use. Henry works in both public and private healthcare, and is an occasional Lecturer at UWA.

Henry offers individual therapy to manage a broad range of problems including mood and anxiety, trauma-related concerns, OCD, alcohol/substance use, sleep problems, persistent (chronic) pain, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and others. Henry also offers couples therapy (availability dependent). He uses contemporary evidence-based cognitive-behavioural therapies (e.g., Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; ACT) to help people deal with uncomfortable symptoms more effectively, address underlying causes, and build a more meaningful life.

Henry makes his therapy engaging, collaborative, and strengths-focused. He welcomes referrals for those aged 12 years and above.

Henry’s clinical interests include Depression, Anxiety, Substance Use, Chronic Pain and relationship problems. He also has a special interest and experience working with people who have sleep problems.

Henry provides a warm, supportive and collaborative environment to help people achieve greater quality of life. He works with individuals, offering a range a range of evidence-based treatments with a focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT).
